Ten years teaching experience total. I have taught six years at the middle school level, one year at the elementary level and three years at the high school level.


I was born in Lakeland, Florida. I spent the first 14 years there. My family moved to Pikeville, TN when I was in the ninth grade. I played both basketball and baseball in high school. After graduating from high school I attended Chattanooga State for 2 years earning an associates degree. I then attended the University of Tennesssee Chattannoga, earning a bachelors degree in education. My first job in teaching was in Georgia at Rossville Middle School teaching Life Science. I then taught physical eduaction and health for five years at Sequatchie County Middle School. I enjoyed my one year teaching math and science to 4th grade students at East Brainard Elementary. I am currently entering my fourth year at Whitwell High School teaching Physical Science and Biology. In 2008 I completed work on a masters degree in instructionsal leadership from Tennessee Technological University.  I have one son, named Ash, who is 15 years old and loves football.  My hobbies include hunting and gardening.
